I submitted an article manuscript on learning goals and topic interest to a journal, and this is one of the comments that I received.

In your result, topic interest is strongly correlated to mastery goals rather than performance goals. However, you have not described whether mastery goals are significantly correlated with performance goals or not. Please state the relationship between the two variables. What would you argue if mastery goals are strongly correlated with performance goals?

My response is included below.

I did state this relationship from page 20 (line 6 from bottom) to the end of that paragraph on page 21. It was then repeated on page 21 (line 9). It said that mastery and performance goals are not significantly correlated.
